Amazon now shows the Echo Voice Remote for $29.99 and has a shipping date of May 1, 2016.

We'll know for sure as it gets closer to May 1.

from what I read, it has been back several times, just sells out quit.  I wish multiple remotes will work with the echo.

In my opinion there should be no reason why the Fire TV voice remote couldn't be used with the Amazon Echo, and vice versa. The remotes both use Bluetooth and have similar buttons, with the exception that the Echo remote has a few buttons less. But that shouldn't prevent you from using any of the remotes and the buttons that each remote has available.
