Skill For One Dot Only?

Is there a way to assign a skill to one Alexa device and not every Echo or Dot in a home?

I'm controlling my garage door via Alexa but would prefer that control only via a Dot in my garage, (where I can actually see the door opening/closing) not the rest of the 4 dots and two Echo's in the house.  This hasn't really been an issue (yet) but with the simple system I'm using there's no way to know whether the door is opening or closing or it's current status.  The skill in question is WeLink.

The only way to do that is to use a different Amazon account when you set up your Echo.
