Amazon adds equalizer to Echo devices

Seems that the feature will be rolling out on US devices in the next few days ahead.

It's not new new. It's a hidden feature that someone on Reddit discovered long time ago.

I believe it was posted here too long time ago. If you search you can find it.

Even the command is the same except for - set and reset command. And of course that you can finally access it on Alexa app.

Which finally the EQ icon on the app is appropriately used.

The real question is why did they hide it in the first place.

I thought it was Reddit. I think I saw it on Reddit but remember vividly it links to the same article.

Not working for me in the UK. I suspect it might have been a Beta feature that was removed and now reinstated with the latest firmware. Laurel, I suspect it might only work with voice commands. Try “Alexa, turn up the bass.”

Just checked my app still not there. I was just talking about that with them unhiding the feature after 3 yrs that the EQ icon is now appropriately used.

I tried the command on my link 3 yrs ago, I think it works.

Thanks for your post.  I just checked my Shows and they have the equalizer on the app now.
