Echo Dropin On Android Device

Good Afternoon.

I have the alexa app on my android phone and I purchased an echo dot. I can drop in on the echo dot from my phone and I presumed I could  do the opposite, that is, drop in on my phone from my echo dot.

The reason I ask is I am Nan's carer and I have set her up an echo dot as well so she can drop in on me were ever I have a dot arround the house. I was hoping that I could extend this to my 4g/3g android phone while out on the road. I have searched google but can not come up with anything. Is it even possible? Any help would appreciated.

You cannot drop in on a phone because, well, it's a phone.
You can only drop in on Echo devices. I'm pretty sure that also means drop in will not work on Fire tablets and Fire TV devices either.

you cannot drop in but you should be able to call.
