Echo plus

I purchased an echo plus last December, had some problems with setting it up but having got through to customer support a very helpful chap got me going. all was well until last Monday when the light ring on top went RED and I have been unable to get it to log back in. I keep getting through to wifi connection when I come to the dreaded Amazon-xxx. I have tried through my desck top and my tablet every time it says Amazon-xx is not found and I am unableto go further. One thing that bothers me is that nowhere does it say that the ring will go RED so is this a real problem
