Echo Dots shipping...

My Dots shipped last night - will arrive Thursday.

Ditto.  Since I will be using mine mainly to play music through my BT speaker, I wonder if it might be a good idea to change the 'wake up' name to keep it from interfering with the Echo.  Not sure if that will work but I guess it should.

I intend to give my Dot a different "wake-word" than the Echo. From what I've read, this works well now with people that have more than one Echo. Each will only respond to their own name.

Yep, new wake up words are required for me with new Dots and Taps shipped today.  In fact, I gave AMZ feedback via app asking them to have NEW wake up words ready for their NEW devices.  Ridiculous that I even had to ask.  "Wake up" yourself, Amazon!

It is stated in another Dot thread that someone ordered a Dot yesterday, and Amazon said, "out of stock until July".  Sorry, Pal, those who snooze, lose.
