Amazon Smart Plug & transformer

 I just bought an Amazon smart plug. I’m wondering if anyone would be nice enough to answer if it can control transformer devices. I plan on using it with an older stereo receiver that runs off of a power transformer. Some electronica control devices do not handle the induction of a transformer.

Most smart plugs have a rating of 12-15Amps, so check the rating of your plug and the rating of transformer.
