Ad Free iHeart Radio on Amazon Echo?

Greetings:

By default, our Amazon 2nd gen Echo plays music through iHeart Radio ad free!  And, we do not have an iHeart personal account.  So, if I tell Alexa, "Play "The Beach Boys" it will play The Beach Boys iHeart radio station ad free.

Is this by design?  Is it promotional and done by an agreement between iHeart and Amazon?

As far as I know, iHeart Radio has always been free on every platform without any account or login. The only ads I hear on it is their own, like promoting another iHeart station.
