hue lights and/or Alexa being finicky

I have my basement set up with 5 Hue lightbulbs. They are linked in both the Hue app and the Alexa app as a room called basement. When I ask Alexa to "turn on basement" she usually gets it right but sometimes 1 or 2 lights do not turn on but the others do. It seems very inconsistent. Any thoughts as to what is going on?

Odds are it's a sporadic communications hiccup between the Amazon and Philips servers, or the Philips server and your Hue bridge..or some combination thereof.
