Setting Routine to include prime music?
« on: August 25, 2016, 10:06:53 am »
HI,

I would like to set up a bedtime routine, I have hue lights hooked up and working with the echo.

My night time routine is;
Alexa; Play rain Just Natural from Calmsound
Alexa; loop
Alexa; stop in 2 hours
Alexa; turn off bedside lamp

It would be nice to set this up as a routine;
Alexa; turn on bedtime routine.

it starts to play the rain white noise for two hours in loop mode and ideally lower my hue light to night light then fade off over 30 minutes.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Harry

Maybe individually by using each manufacturers app. To make a routine you would have to make a Skill the best of my knowledge. Maybe using multiple IFTTT would be a solution.

Setting a sleep timer

Multiple IFTTT commands using Triggers.

I suggest use Google and research it does seem it can be done.

I have no luck, the issue is controlling the echo itself. IFTTT can get triggers from echo but not talk back to it.

I have yunomi set up talking to the harmony hub and the hue lights.

I can set up routines to turn of tv, lights etc.

I have found no way to have a routine select a song or a ply list.
