It was very easy to set up and connect the Echo with the Philips Hue lighting system. I can say 'Alexa turn on/off the bedroom lights' and it works like a dream. Does anyone know if you can also get it to adjust the scenes (colors) of the lights?

Unless you are "hacking" echo no. As if right now on,off and diming features are available. Search YouTube for videos of people that have used, open source chooses to make the lights change colors etc.

I'm using my Smarthings hub to control them and created scenes that change to diff colors. I would hope that the echo would create this soon as a lot of peeps are using it with the Hue.

a workaround that I've found for setting Hue light colors with Echo is to use Activities with a Logitech Harmony hub (a different activity for each different color you want), sync the harmony hub to a Smartthings hub (each color activity becomes a smartthings device) and then link the smart things hub to Echo.
It's been working well for me.
